Shows in Egypt
 

 

My favourite memory goes back to year 2011 when we had a couple of performances in Egipt. It was summer time and in Egipt this equals to temperatures as high as 40 degress celsius. We knew it's not going to be easy jumping in such conditions therefore we have had intensive training schedule beforehand. But all our worries faded away the minute we arrived in Porto Marina. Because of the high temperatures lifestyle in Egipt is completely adapted to the climate. When the sun goes down the city becomes alive and previously empty squares become crowded. Our shows were no exception to the rule and we had our shows scheduled for midnight and 3 am. At first it was hard to do our maximum since it was in the middle of the night but combining our skills with a freestyle soccer player we rocked the place. Especially the youngsters (who were still up at that hour) were thrilled. On our way home we also got to see a glimpse at the once mighty Egiptian civilization. When you see the monuments that were bulit thousands of years ago with basic tools is, at least for a geodesist like I am, something extraodrinary. Special way of living in Egipt, kind and cheerful local people, good company and rich historic background is the reason why I will definately visit this lovely country again.
