Last dunk at Stade de France
Since I have become a member of the Dunking Devils team, I have had many interesting and funny experiences. The craziest of them all was the performance at the Stade de France stadium. The feeling of standing in the middle of the stadium with the capacity of 80 000 people is simply amazing. To be able to perform in front of such a crowd, puts the feeling onto an even higher level.
Due to the size of the venue, we simultaneously performed on all four sides of the stadium. In the last jump we all united in a quite a long combination on one hoop. My task in this combination was to dunk in the most spectacular way as the last dunker in the combination. This was a big responsibility. The expectation of all those people in the stadium demanded full attention. There was no room for mistakes, there was no room to doubt in one's own abilities, there was no room for distrust among team members. Just perfect focus. I successfully completed the last combination that caused a wave of enthusiasm at the stadium Stade de France!
It was something new for all members of the team to perform at such a large venue. I must say it was a very pleasant experience. The French have proved themselves, as so many times before, to be hospitable and friendly hosts.
